The Rising Hope Foundation exists to financially support;
- Individual young people from the South West of England getting involved in mission and evangelism, in the SW, in the U.K., and to the “ends of the earth”.
- Christian mission ventures, involving 12 – 25 year olds, organised in the South West of England
- Church youth groups, from the South West of England, engaging in mission ventures in the UK and abroad.
The underlying beliefs of the Foundation Trustees are that:-
- Christian mission is the spreading of the Christian gospel through works AND proclamation, sharing, preaching and testimony… by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
- The best placed people to reach the next generation with the Gospel, are those who understand and are part of this youth culture; the young people aged 12-25 themselves.
- Young people need to be envisioned, equipped and FINANCIALLY SUPPORTED in order to fulfil their mission call.
The definition of “South West” used by the Foundation are the Counties of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.
The Rising Hope Foundation has been established by Andrew Gardiner. Andrew has worked previously in roles as the former Youth Director of the SW Baptist Association, SW Regional Worker for Crusaders (now Urban Saints), Youth Director to Mutley Baptist Church, Plymouth.
Now, due to health issues, but also God’s leading, Andrew is now Director of Rising Hope Ministry and the Foundation. Other Foundation members are being carefully identified, ready for April 2018.
The Foundation will initially meet once a year, commencing in April 2018, to consider applications for funding support. Unlike many Trusts and grant-making bodies, the RH Foundation will distribute the capital assets from its funds each year, and NOT just interest.
The Foundation is itself funded from:-
a) ALL profits raised by Rising Hope Ministry, started by Andrew Gardiner in 2016. This is from the sales of music, poems, books such the “The Tunnel”, and any other publications.
b) Regular and one-off donations from individuals and churches who share the vision of the Foundation, and have a heart to see young people engage in Christian mission and evangelism.
c) From agencies, Associations in the Region etc that support the aims and the vision of the Foundation.
Any donations to the Foundation should be sent by cheque, made payable to “Rising Hope Foundation” and sent to:
RHF, 56 Torland Road, Plymouth, PL3 5TT.

“As someone passionate about mission in the South West with young people, this Foundation excites me. Providing valuable financial backing to those who really need it enabling them to step out in faith and bring God’s hope to others has to be worth investing in.” – Paul Friend, Director, South West Youth Ministries
“The Rising Hope Foundation was birthed in a courageous and inspiring Vision from God, through its founder Andrew Gardiner. It embodies a passionate belief that young people have so much God-given potential to make a massively positive impact upon their World. This foundation will help, support and sustain so many in doing just that” – Dr Clive G Burnard – Senior Pastor, Mutley Baptist Church, Plymouth
“It’s great to hear what the Rising Hope Foundation is doing under the passionate leadership of Andrew Gardiner. Andrew has a lifetime of experience reaching children and young people with the good news of Jesus, and it’s not a surprise that he’s now taking that to a new level. Be encouraged to get stuck in, cheer it on and support what he’s doing in anyway you can.” – Matt Summerfield, President. Urban Saints.
“Andrew Gardiner’s vision for the work of the Rising Hope Foundation meets two urgent needs – the need for the gospel in the South West, and the need to equip and mobilise a new generation. May God bless it with the fruit of many changed lives.” – Joe Dent – Rector, St Andrew’s Church, Plymouth
